I started this project as a father of a daughter with mitochondrial disease.
It has been said that mitochondrial disease cannot be cured, that it is a disease without treatment.
However, the same as parents all over the world, I cannot give up on my daughter’s life.
I cannot give up.
So we decided to develop our own treatments for mitochondrial disease.

Fortunately, we have a great project management team and a great research team.

All families want to save their children’s lives.
All doctors want to save children’s lives.
All scientists want to save children’s lives.
And all people want to save children’s lives.
Therefore, we can all come together to make this happen.

Are you someone who wants to, and can, help us save children’s lives?

I will never forget the day that I had no choice but to grasp the hands of my unconscious daughter in the intensive care unit.
Because I have this feeling I will not compromise.
As soon as possible, we will deliver treatments for mitochondrial disease to as many patients as possible.

Treatments for mitochondria, though a rare disease, have the potential to be developed for diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, heart disease, autism, and many other diseases.
As far as my life is concerned, I will fight for the treatment of these diseases so that all the people can be healthy, so that children all around the world can live happily.

This project, which is named after my daughter, Nanami, embodies the spirit of all our team members.
In the near future, Nanami will travel around the world, crossing the seven seas to meet you all.
